06.25.2009: It represented a great day for Fortean researchers when the British Library recently placed over two million pages of 49 national and regional UK newspapers from the 19th and early 20th century online. Only two are subscription free: The Penny Illustrated Paper and The Graphic, so I've spent some time keyword searching these digital resources to discover what gems may lie in their columns. Here are a few I've uploaded that you mght find equally interesting: 1871: Stories of Wild Men; 1877: The Sea Serpent in the Mediterranean and 1906: Fireball Bursts Onto Church Congregation.
