On July 29, in the city of Cordoba Villa Giardino, a dog [a bitch that looks, from the photo, appears to be a breed of terrier - fs] was discovered mutilated.
According to Silvia Pérez Simondini, who penned a short account of the event, a veterinarian that conducted the necropsy on the dead body said there was no way it could have been carried out with any known instrument.
It would appear that whoever carried out this excision, in one motion removed six of the creature's ribs while successfuly avoiding its vital organs.
Simondini called upon people in the countryside to immediately notify her to the presence of similar cases, adding that in one week alone there had been 12 recorded cases of animal mutilation.
