PHOTOGRAPHER ENCOUNTERS UFO ON ISLAND OFF CHILE

Through the camera they could not see the magnitude of the object which formed the light, but it was revealing detail: being in the jeep they had been listening to music, when the radio suddenly failed. During this photo shoot the receiver stopped working for about 10 minutes and the pair heard nothing, as in the movies.

Soon they were able to take three more photos, which enabled them to confirm that they were facing an unidentified flying object. For about 40 minutes, it emitted red, green and yellow flashes.

At one point the UFO emitted two spherical points of light from the side, losing their sparkle in the sky. The craft had a rather horizontal displacement but moved little. When they arrived at Cameron it disappeared completely.

Breskovic could not help feeling somewhat vulnerable in the face of such a strange and unfathomable experience. But photographable.

Entonces se trató de una forma luminosa de humo blanco, con mucho olor a quemado (asimilable a aquellos fenómenos conocidos como “foo fighters”). El portaba una cámara fotográfica con la cual no pudo obtener registro alguno, ya que quedó imantada para siempre.

La diosa fortuna quiso que éste volviera a ser privilegiado espectador de un nuevo fenómeno extraterrestre la tarde del domingo 7 de junio, mientras retornaba de Tierra del Fuego junto a su amigo, el abogado Juan José Arcos, en demanda del cruce de Bahía Azul. Breskovic lo había acompañado a hacer un trabajo audiovisual para después sacar un tríptico o catálogo del lodge que Arcos construye en la isla. A las 12,30 horas, siguiendo la única huella existente llegaron al río Caleta en el jeep de Arcos, sin poder vadearlo a causa de un desborde y estar crecido. Decidieron bajarse y esperar, para lo cual caminaron internándose unos 600 metros en el bosque. Allí, les llamó mucho la atención la forma dejada por dos circunferencias en la arena, como si dos esferas de alrededor de un metro de diámetro se hubieran posado en ella. A diferencia del resto del sector, surcado por abundantes huellas de vacas, en dicho lugar no había nada.

ERA UN OVNI
A las 17 horas recién pudieron vadear el río Caleta y, una hora después, ya en pleno trayecto divisaron una luz en el cielo. Primero pensaron que sería un avión o helicóptero y no le dieron importancia, pero al entrar directo a la ruta fueguina se despejaron un poco las nubes y el destello de luz empezó a ser un poco más constante.

Ante ello, se detuvieron a tomar un par de fotografías. En la cámara no pudieron visualizar la magnitud de las figuras que formaba la luz, pero sí hubo un detalle revelador: estando el jeep en marcha y mientras escuchaban música, la radio de éste arrojó “error”. Durante aquella sesión fotográfica, el receptor se trabó unos 10 minutos y no se escuchó nada, como en las películas.

Luego vinieron tres fotos más, que les permitieron confirmar que estaban frente a un objeto volador no identificado. Durante unos 40 minutos, éste emitió un destello rojo, verde y amarillo.

En un momento, desde el Ovni fueron expulsados dos puntos de luz esféricos hacia los costados, perdiéndose su destello en el cielo. La nave tenía un desplazamiento más bien horizontal, aunque se movió poco. Cuando llegaron a Cameron desapareció completamente.

Breskovic no pudo evitar sentirse algo vulnerable frente a lo desconocido de una experiencia que, sin buscarla, lo enfrentó a un fenómeno insondable. Pero fotografiable
