"I write this email to make you aware of the experience my wife and I had on 18 Oct 2004, in Cheshire England. This is no hoax or make believe story, what I say in this mail happened the way it happened. This is very worrying and the need to inform people like yourself only seems natural especially always being a non-believer in anything of this kind the need is greater.
"A number of ufo web sites have emailed me saying they have logged the report, but they obviously don't believe or they would have asked to call me. I can only say I will issue this email out for as long as someone takes this seriously, for what we saw that night was not a good sign I am sure of that. I would also like to say I had no hesitation to tell everyone what happened but have kept it away from most of my friends for obvious reasons, and it has also effected me a great deal that I will never travel at night by car in a rural area again.
"On the 18th October around 1am we left our friends home to make our way back to Liverpool, we had only travelled for about 30 seconds when a thick looking vapour moving a lot faster than our car appeared from the left side. It seemed to slow down and wrap itself in front of the car. The next thing we saw was a spinning vortex in front on the road, at first I thought it was some kind of tornado forming but it didn't have a funnel, but I could see quite clearly it was a white plasma of vapour gas spinning quite aggressively. It moved low near the ground in front then behind and around the car.
"We entered Tattonhall village and the vortex had gone, we had avoided its path, we turned right and left the village back into a country lane. The vortex suddenly re-appeared next to the car and seemed to be higher off the road. My wife was driving the car and we were both getting very distressed not knowing what was going on and what we were seeing - we were both very confused and just wanted to get away from it. It suddenly seemed to go higher over our car and soon after the bonnet [hood] lit up white as if someone had put a spotlight on it, then suddenly what appeared on the windscreen was like coloured cabbage shapes transparent substance. This lasted for a few seconds then suddenly disappeared.
"Within a minute a car overtook us travelling around 50mph. It had just gone out of site when the vortex re-appeared, it was a lot higher than before but it seemed to have. I can only describe [it] as coloured ghostly energy spinning around it, it then went up into the air over the car to the left. I opened my window and could quite clearly see two vortexes - one coloured energy on the outside and another plasma or vapour teardrop shapes on the inside spinning around. The vortex hovered over a field to our left as we approached another left turning. We turned left and it followed the car to another field on the left, when it slowly began to ascend right up into the clouds .
"I once again know this is hard for anyone to believe, but it happened the way I've described, no lasers, not light of any sort. The last thing I want to say about it of which I refused to tell in my original email was that when it was on the windscreen there were small moving particles like when you look under a microscope. We are not going mad we are just a ordinary family who experienced a very frightening event. We don't expect anyone to believe the story I only wish that someone has seen this too and can confirm our story credible, because it is the truth! ,I will continue to try answer my own questions for as long as it takes."
